Christmas lights can disturb WiFi Signal


Festive celebration of Christmas and New Year often must be paid to the disruption of telecommunications connections. If in Indonesia several times the most widely reported problems may telephone or sending SMS due to the high increase in traffic so as many people send the same greeting.

But, in the U.S. that most of the population has been using the internet, connection connection problems that are often problematic during the Christmas holidays and New Year. According to an internet service provider in the U.S., Talk Talk, Christmas lights and electrical cable loops that are used can affect the WiFi signal.

"Our experience shows that the decorative lights in the house and the winding wire used in Christmas tree lights can cause interference with wireless signals and weaken broadband speeds," said Sylvain Thevenot, senior manager of Talk Talk in his blog as reported by the Telegraph. He said any major effect until 25 percent.

Therefore, Thevenot warn the user wireless Internet service to put the Christmas lights of the broadband router and the computer as far as possible. He also recommends that service users do not use the lights flicker because in some cases it may cause interference. To mengrangi interference, users can also install a special filter that cost was expensive in the line.

Terror on Flight 253?


Flight 253 UPDATE: Abdul Mudallad Nigerian tried to blow up Flight 253. Mudallad’s name popped up on Terror Watch List Database, said Rep Peter King of New York on CNN today. Rep King is a ranking GOP member of the House Homeland Security Committee. Rep King said the Nigerian suspect claimed to have links with Al Qaeda and other extremist organizations. The terror suspect also divulged that the explosive device was procured in Yemen with instructions on how to use it on board.

A passenger Syed Jafri (Jafry) sitting at seat 16G on Flight 253 told CNN the suspect was sitting on 19A seat, and “he saw a glow, and noticed a smoke smell. Then a young man behind me jumped on him.”

According to the Huffington Post, a passenger “tried to blow up the flight but the explosive device failed, two U.S. national security officials said.” The passenger ” tried to explode powder taped to his leg with a syringe full of chemicals” according to the NY Daily News.

CNN’s War on Terror Expert Peter Bergen told CNN that Nigeria had one of the least airport security measures and the suspect may not actually be a Nigerian but some one who may have used Nigeria’s Lagos airport to bypass security measures and fly to Amsterdam on way to Detroit. Observers are calling it a grave security breach.
Detroit is the hub of Northwest airlines.

Earlier report said the 23-year-old Nigerian national suspect who was on board the Detroit bound plane Flight 253 from Amsterdam attempted to detonate an explosive or some kind of device on board when he was restrained by the passengers, CNN’s national security contributor told CNN.

The Delta Northwest Flight 253 suspect, who is a Nigerian national claims to have affiliation with some extremist organization, CNN reported in its 6 o’ clock news bulletin today.

Earlier reports said the suspect ignited a fire cracker inside Flight 253. Now it is being reported that the suspect may have detonated some kind of an explosive device.
